Q. How To Exclude the Bibliography, Quotes, and Other Sources in My Turnitin Similarity Report?

Exclude the bibliography, quotes, and other sources to reduce your similarity index. 

Step 1: Access your similarity report (simreport) via AnimoSpace

Step 2: Click the [Gear Icon] beside [Sources Overview]

Step 3: You will see a list of search repositories ie. the internet, publications, cross-references, and an additional option to exclude the bibliography, quotes, and citations. Choose any of the listed options by ticking the box beside the item.

You should notice a change/reduction in your similarity index as soon as you click [Done].

Note:

1. Getting a high similarity index is often due to previously submitted works that were not deleted from Turnitin's database. To request the deletion of previously submitted works, you may refer to this FAQ.
