Cabells Scholarly Analytics enables users to identify fraudulent and deceptive journals.
1. To access Cabells, first go to Animosearch, then click A-to-Z Databases:
2. From A-to-Z Databases, click Cabells Scholarly Analytics:
If accessing the database off campus, you will be required to login using your DLSU Google account.
3. From the Cabells homepage, click the Search link on the upper portion of the screen.
NOTE: If accessing off campus, you will be asked to enter and institutional email. Please enter your DLSU email address and enter the OTP that would be sent to your email.
4. Type the name of any journals you wish to search for in the search bar. You can use the journal's title, or its International Standard Serial Number (ISSN), if available.
5. If your search query returns no results, it means that Cabells did not find any violations or predatory attributes for that journal at this time.
6. If there are search results, you will see titles tagged as predatory. Cabells advises you not submit to these journals, as they have been determined to engage in predatory practices.
7. You can check each report to view an overview. The list includes the violations and their corresponding levels of severity.
