Books can be borrowed and returned at the circulation counters and SCM locations across the three (3) campuses:


Steps for checking books in and out using SCMs:

1. Check out process (Borrow):

  • Tap the CHECK OUT button and scan your DLSU ID Card
  • Scan the book’s barcode, found on either the front or back cover, and the book’s details will appear
    Note: For multiple checkouts, repeat the process for each item until you are done
  • Place the book spine down and push forward. You will hear a thud, and item details will turn green
  • Click DONE when finished, then tap Print Receipt to complete the transaction

Check in process (Return):

  • Tap the CHECK IN button
  • Scan the book’s barcode, which can be found on either the front or back cover, and the book's details will appear
  • Place the book spine and push forward. You will hear a thud, and item details will turn green
  • Click DONE when finished, then tap Print Receipt to complete the transaction
  • To confirm if the book has been successfully returned, tap ACCOUNT to check your record

Important reminders:

  1. Always present a valid DLSU ID Card to borrow library materials.
  2. DLSU ID Card is non-transferable and must only be used by you.

  3. Make it a habit to check our web catalog AnimoSearch (http://animosearch.dlsu.edu.ph/) before visiting the library to confirm if the item(s) you need are available.

  4. Please make sure to note the due date and return the item(s) on time to avoid overdue fees.

  5. Log into your MyLibrary (personal library account) to review your active loans before leaving the library.

  6. Report any damage, missing, or lost items to the library immediately to avoid additional fees.
