Yes, a student may pay for a lost book on installment basis providing that he/she is not a graduating student. To request, a student needs to write a promissory letter address to Ms. Cynthia L. Cordova, Readers' Services Librarian.

Below is our Lost Books policy for your reference.

  • A book lost while on loan must be reported immediately to the person in charge of the section/collection where the book was checked-out. An affidavit of loss must be presented and the lost book must be paid one week after the initial report.
  • A lost book must be paid for according to the value determined by the library plus additional processing cost. A lost book that is retrieved or recovered within one month from the time it was paid for is subject to a 50% refund. After the one month period, no refund will be given.
