You can extend the loan period for item(s) currently checked out to your account. Library patrons have two (2) options:

[1] Online Renewal (through your MyLibrary account)

  • For instructions, see: How do I renew books online?
  • You can renew an item 2 days before its due date, or on the due date before midnight.
  • A maximum of 2 online renewals is allowed per book.
  • To extend beyond 2 renewals, bring the item to the library for over-the-counter renewal, provided there are no prior requests for the item.

 [2] On-site Renewal

  • Bring your loaned items to the library and hand them to the staff at the circulation counters.
  • After your renewal transaction, log into your MyLibrary account to check your updated active loans before leaving.
  • You may also opt to renew items via self-check machines (SCMs).
For instructions, refer to this guide: Where to borrow and return books, and find self-check machines (SCMs)?

Important reminders:

You cannot renew items if:

  1. You have already reached the maximum of 2 online renewals
  2. You attempt to renew the item too early (before the allowed time)
  3. You renew the item online after the due date
  4. You have an outstanding balance (e.g., overdue items, printing charges, or lost book fees, etc.)
  5. The item has been put on hold or requested by another patron.
